about three days ago i woke up with the stomach flu. after deliriously "watching" about nine episodes of american pickers i decided to dive into my somewhat out of control frequently neglected netflix instant queue (mortal kombat: the movie seemed like a really good idea at the time! (who am i kidding i've watched it twice.) double parentheses!) which contains 222 movies. aaaanyway i found my way past the first season of 21 jump street, six after mallrats and one before jury duty (i have a truly refined cinematic palette) to the gem that is charade. it is well writen, funny and shot in beautiful locations. has a henry mancini score, all of audrey hepburn's costumes are givenchy and cary grant somehow maintains being perhaps the most dapper man alive at almost sixty-years old.

all those things aside it also has a totally awesome title sequence designed by maurice binder. one of my favorites of all time! it is a winner all around. two very enthusiastic thumbs up. seriously go watch it now!
